Updated my distro for b134 and ask for helping to develop L1C driver for Eees.

Sorry too late to inform...I was also busy in repairing my desktop PC.

btw Masayuki Murayama,you know he is famous developer NIC driver for (Open)Solaris,
He would ask helping to develop L1C driver,which is used many Eee models.so If you can help,please let me know.

Lately...

I have been extremely busy lately because I am joining the biggest project in my company.I have to use VMWare these days to evaluate our solutions for my customer..

btw I am always thinking of spreading my idea for OpenSolaris on Eee,you know I now having code.google.com to upload some files so that every OSUGers would reuse them.but some of them think diffultly I needs something skills (C,XML).so I am thinking of sharing my 'environment' using template files of Virtual Machines.you can experience making your distro so easily and correct and customize your distro very vety easily.so Lately looking into VM solutions especially bare-metal-based virtualization solution like VMware ESXi and,you know,Oracle VM.and I tried to use Laptops and Netbook because they have low comsumption watts (6-25W) and more I bought many to evaluate OpenSolaris.I had a plan to reuse.and more I would power on the systems all the day.they are for 'the server' use.

ESXi is great to use as a bare-metal virtualization system.it works great on my N10J and KOUZIRO Core2duo-based laptop.but cant shutdown normally get panic.and more in N10J panic breaks the ESXi - so ESXi never boots after getting panic.very bad.workaround is reseting the system for shutdowning and killing off just before powering on and rebooting the systems in 'reseting the system' process.

I had a time to present Tokyo Linux User Meeting last week.I would appreciate if you could check my preso - running OpenSolaris VM Client on my Alienware Laptop.

On the other hand,Oracle VM works good and it is good using PVM on it- it runs more faster than VM on VMware.but it might need high-performance CPU like Core i7.when I use it on my netbook it works good but reboots again and again because of higher loading.I have now no time to check in detail so I wondering why..

I also have to check CDDL to deliver my VM so that you could reuse.Anyway I would love to do someone would go on joining and helping my OpenSolaris project easily because I now very very very busy for my business..

Call for drivers on your Eees don't work on OpenSolaris

latest Eees are very changed and very often changed you know NIC,wifi,Graphics,Camera and 'more and more!'- I have blogged about that and that makes much annoyed for me.I cant have enough money to buy all the Eee for improving...

Lately I received from some guys about L1C driver on latest Eee.It doesn't work on OpenSolaris -atge driver doesn't support it.I told Murayama-san about that he said he had no time to develop..very very busy now.

So What we should do? all we can do ask for Sun's guy through 'defects.opensolaris.org' it is for the bugs in OpenSolaris but we can request to them what drivers we need for using OpenSolaris on our Eee.

Sorry I have no latest Eees so I should ask you to give me some infos for 'defects'.
if you find the drivers don't work on your Eee on OpenSolaris,please mail me about the drivers and the info in detail (logs,prtconf -v,and more).

you know Oracle changed the package name omitting the name 'SUNW..'
It works good on my Eee 701

b132 supports Nvidia G105M Graphics for ASUS N10J

Finally OpenSolaris supports G105M graphics for N10J.Nvidia updated the driver - 190.53 and Sun requested including driver_aliases for N10J.

please check check it out on your N10J (or your notebook having G105M).

I checked my b132-WC on my Eee 701(4G-X),a bit problem while booting but works good.

And noted 'latest' nightly had troubles while building caiman -haven't built at all.it will be fixed till next release..so I used old nightly for building.
